Yes, SWAP Chicken is shipped and sold frozen and must be stored at -18 degrees C.

What is the shelf life of SWAP Chicken?

SWAP Chicken is best before 12 months when frozen. Once thawed, keep refrigerated in its original packaging and consume within 3 days. Note SWAP Chicken should not be refrozen once thawed.

What is the defrosting process?

Defrost SWAP Chicken overnight at less than 4℃ or less than 39℉. Alternatively, microwave in defrost mode for roughly 5 minutes. Defrosting overnight is the preferred defrosting method.

Where is SWAP Chicken made?

SWAP Chicken is currently being produced in France.

Is SWAP Chicken more sustainable than animal meat?

Yes, plant-based meats including plant-based chicken are known to have a better impact on the environment than animal products. Our preliminary Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) confirmed this better impact for our SWAP Chicken product. With the recent opening of our large-scale manufacturing facility, we are conducting a new LCA to understand our impact. We will share our sustainability findings once they are available. 

Can you eat SWAP Chicken raw?

SWAP Chicken is perfectly safe to consume without any prior cooking or seasoning. However, for the best flavor and experience, we recommend cooking and seasoning it as you would a conventional chicken breast.
